How TAG helps Perth tradies
Approvals in 24 hours, not weeks
Ute and equipment finance typically approves within 24 hours. Tell us the deadline and we'll pick a lender that hits it.
Low-doc that understands trade income
BAS statements, bank statements or an accountant's letter can stand in for full financials. Invoiced income counts — we know which lenders read a subbie's books properly.
Home loans for the self-employed
Being your own boss shouldn't lock you out of a mortgage. We know which lenders assess self-employed income generously — including with just one year of financials.
Structure that helps at tax time
Chattel mortgages on work vehicles and equipment generally let business users claim interest and depreciation — set up right from the start (your accountant confirms the specifics).

Finance terms every tradie should know
Low-doc doesn't mean no-doc: it means proving income with BAS or bank statements instead of two years of full financials — made for sole traders and subbies whose real income beats what their tax return suggests.
A chattel mortgage is the go-to for utes and equipment: you own the asset outright from day one, the lender holds security over it, and business users can generally claim the interest and depreciation.
The instant asset write-off rules change year to year — whether you can deduct the full cost of equipment immediately is a question for your accountant, but the finance structure we set up will be ready either way.
Proof, not promises
Equipment finance approvals typically within 24–48 hours.
“Five-star service from all involved, what a team!... you guys always have great patience and persist.”
“They go above and beyond to help and make the entire process easy and hassle free!”
Common Questions
Can I get finance as a sole trader without full financials?
Yes. Low-doc finance uses your BAS statements, business bank statements or an accountant's declaration instead of complete financials. For ute and equipment finance it's routine; for home loans, several lenders accept self-employed applicants with just one year of figures.
How fast can I get a ute or equipment financed?
Approval typically within 24 hours, sometimes same-day, and settlement a day or two after. If the gear is sitting at a dealer or auction with your name on it, tell us the pickup date and we'll work backwards from it.
How long do I need an ABN before I can get finance?
Many lenders want two years, but several accept 12 months — and a few will look at day-one ABNs with a solid work history in the same trade. GST registration helps. Don't assume you're too new; ask us first.
Can tradies get home loans with irregular income?
Absolutely. The trick is lender choice: some average your last two years, some take the most recent year, some work from BAS. The same subbie income can support very different borrowing amounts depending on the lender — we pick the one that reads your books best.
Should the ute go on the business or in my name?
If it's mainly for work, a chattel mortgage in the business generally gives the best tax outcome — interest and depreciation are typically deductible. Mostly personal use points the other way. We set up the structure; your accountant confirms the tax side.
Does equipment finance hurt my chances of a home loan later?
It's counted in your commitments, so it has some effect — but far less than maxed-out credit cards do. Structured well (sensible term, no oversized balloon), equipment finance and a mortgage co-exist fine. Tell us the home-loan plan and we'll structure today's finance around it.
